Ooooh yeah. Love is in the air. Someone is on cloud four.
Ah yes. Skopet FC was in L.Ov.E during the match against the Lianghua Parents/Veteran Team @ lianghua primary school field. Man , they showed us how it is to play beautiful soccer. One touch magical passing , fantastic off-the-ball movement, super through balls , very very good understanding between the players and composure. All in one package. Everyone on that team got 'it'. So honestly , Skopet FC could only watch in awe and tried to learn from them. They must have played for a long time together compared to the 0ne-year-old Skopet FC. So guys , hopefully in the distant future , we can play like that. We can do it.
But as the BoyBapak quoted - 'Sometimes experience counts for nothing'. hahahaha. So yeah we are in L.Ov.E (

First half highlights , something is very wrong even before the kickoff lol. We got 12 of our guys in the field. Formation confusion. Ish ish ish. Haha.What is this boys? Funny....Problem is none of us on the field said anything. Yeah there were ramblings and the blah blah blah among ourselves about who is to come out so as to make it 11 players.The referee sounded out about it and after 4 minutes of cuteness , we decided on a 4-5-1 formation.
We tried to play our normal offensive game with defenders aiding to the attack with overlapping runs at the flanks but it was a game where such tactic is risky. So there were lots of defence-splitting passes from the veteran team. Many chances for them to score. One hit the post. Phew. And our man of the match Rudy was on form to deny them of the only thing they lacked in the game.Goals. Good job dude. Another clean sheet. Skopet FC had their fair share of testing their defence but again , midfield wise , we are outplayed. We cope very well till the end of the first half.What a relief. Prodigy Syaf kept the defensive backline in check with another absolute perfomance. Jason as rightback was as solid as a cyborg and myself as a leftback was trying my best with sprained back. AbgHidung was a little distracted. Again maybe due to love. But he did well to give sufficent cover for Syaf. Prem hatta and zai were trying to catch butterflies in central midfield..Hahahaha. Their playmaker was good especially the no 9 , orchestrating the veteran team offense. It was bloody hard to get the ball back from these guys. Baqir sop and syahir were contained. 0-0 it was into the interval.
2nd half highlights - Skopet defence decided just to sit back and counter attack when necessary. It worked wonders. 4 minutes into the 2nd half, Our midfield dynamo Hatta won the ball at the leftside of the field and got a ridiculous loud thumping on his shin after a defender tried to tackle him. Hahaha.Very gross sound. I thought his leg was going to break. Ish. But he bulldozed through that tackle and set his eyes on the mating butterflies in the opponent's goal. He shoot and he scored. A marvelous shot to the top right corner. Power dega. The butterflies irritated by that , went to find another place to continue to mate. hahahah.lame. His first goal for Skopet after a free transfer from his previous team. More of that hatta. Nice work. We played much much better overall and it was even throughout the rest of the game. Rudy dig didi was there to keep the scoreline that way after the defence was breached about 3-4 times. Super saves. We won the game 1-0. Woot.
Well done skopet. Another gr8 win in the fasting month. Maybe we guys had done something right in the last few days to get the win. hahaha. After the game , I can;t believe we talked about endearments. Apa siak korang. Takde topik lain ke nak bual2. Lovesick fools.
Alrite that;s it dudes. We shall not fall in L.Ov.E in the next match. Selamatz.

difference between theory and practice

first and foremost, let us offer our condolences to chelsea fans who have lost the only manager who can win them the league .. we symphatize with you lot.. now that what uve got is an old israeli who looks more like an extra in Planet of the Apes than a sound coach with good credentials. oh wait.. does he even have a UEFA coaching badge?
However irritating Jose Mourinho have been to non-blues fans, its undeniable that the man is technically and tactically adept and has fine man-management skills. And hes got style to boot as well. We skopets have certainly used his quotes often, for example; Zai managing the 'team of champions' (skopet) in topper cup and Syahir being labelled 'injury-forever'.. and of course people calling me 'the special one'.. haha. joke la bodoh, takyah nak roll eyes.

Ok back to the main point of this post, this weeks match details as follows ;

Do not be fooled by their age. We have watched this veteran team play before, and they are good. Especially the Indian uncle who gave us a hard time at the street soccer court. These guys played a lot of games when they were younger so their touches are good. Watch out for their striker who is a former Sleague player (according to uncle bual world)haha.

Note that this will be our second last match before Raya and exams break. So dont waste this opportunity to score some goals. will be useful to relieve the football-withdrawal symptoms we will develop later next month.

Boyboyan have already blogged on our training practice on saturday. We will be having more practices in future at NUS side field, perhaps on sunday mornings. Overall im pleased with the training; Rudy had the opportunity to address some issues, we get to work on setpiece defending etc. although 2 hours is too short. Perhaps next session we'll concentrate on finishing.. seeing our offtargets in the drills. haha. The 11 players who turned up, thank you for the commitment. Those who missed with valid reasons, check with them what you missed. Those who didnt turn up because theres no game, u'll be fined $4.44. Ok seriously, do not overlook future practice, we can really improve as a team. Just ask Prem who tried to talk his way out of coming down for practice. lol.
Lets see wether we can translate what we learn onto the pitch on Saturday. See u guys there.

Level up.
Oooh yeah. It felt real good to have our first official training. The skopet had their first training since the team was established a year ago. LOL. Weird? dun think so. With lazy kids like us , training was not an option. All we are interested is to play soccer..kick some balls and win games. So it was a bit awkward to start the ball rolling at the field @ fuchun sec. Obvious reason? Duh.. we dun have a coach. hahaha..we make do with watever soccer training experience and share those with the team. Thanks Rudy for conducting the main bulk of the training. The rest just chipped in their views and recommended their own way of doing things. Hahahaha. Rojak tactics and drills.
So what what did we cover? What did we trained on? Hmmm gd questions... My starting position for skopet is still a mystery to all. So all this knowledge seemed too much for me. I wondered and pondered the night away. Sigh. One moment i have to apply defensive drills. The next moment attack. Too confusing. Another team awaits me. But skopet is still in my heart. Is still the ONE. So guys. What should i do? Help me.
Muahahahaha.
Back to topic proper. We worked on our set pieces. Our offensive corner. We came up with a plan or routine on how and what to do in a corner. The hand signals of the corner kicker/taker should be clearly displayed but yeah.. it took us at least 15 minutes to decide what was what. It was crappy at first. Some examples of signals we came up with. Raising of one hand/ both hands / one leg...lol../ both legs ? even worse./ and then there was the 3rd leg..hahah. What is the 3rd leg? Dots. Doing any one of this actions mean something. The players in the penalty box should know what to do. We had lots of tries to get it right. Good job guys. We shall score from a corner next time though statistics wise.. we score 94% of our goals from normal play.
Then we worked on our defensive drills. most are applicable to the defenders. So it was not my problem since i am not one. We tied down all the positioning for our zonal marking. Who to cover who in any situations where any defender is beaten. Who to make the wall during a freekick against us. Who to stand where during defending against a corner. Etc etc. haha.
Shooting practice. Way off..haha. Semua tendang ikut nafsu. Puasa dok. Apa ni. 90% of our shots are off target. Wasted all of our energy on this part of the training. It all boils down on the situation. Whether to lob the ball , a simple placing or tap in or just plain power shot. We improved a bit here. Hopefully , the main scorers are scoring again.
So there u go. A toned down and boring post on my behalf. So many more crap and ramblings to write but no go. One more thing guys. Mavericks FC asked for a friendly this Saturday @3pm but u guys know we already had an upcoming game with a veteran team @ lianghua pri @ 5pm on the same day. So me and fadly just want to know which game u guys are more keen. Obviously the 5pm slot since majority of us are fasting. Tell us ASAP. so we can make the necessary changes.

is there no one else?!
ok its official.. we are too intimidating for most teams. The whole week was spent trying to get us an opponent -
after the scheduled match at lianhua was postponed by a week- but to no avail. After asking more than 20 teams , i give up. haha. Even ref
Mario who promised to help us is now not answering phonecalls. Someone pls tell him he's fired! lol.
No game? no problem. Nothing can break our indomitable skopet spirit. Tomorrow shall be our first training practice ever. Couple of drills, work on set-pieces, and perhaps a seven-a-side game towards the end. Which means that.. we can use as many people as possible. So everyone including fringe players(lousy attendance) pls turn up. It will be fun, playing among ourselves, just like in the school field during recess time years back. haha
Fuchun Sec 5pm - bring both kits. its about time we take a proper team photo.
So yeah.. see u guys tomorrow.. bring friends or relatives if you want. the more the merrier.

Ramadan Kick-Off
No food?...Still quite managable.
But no water?....Dehyrdration was a big factor.
But thanks to Baqir's brace, Skopet came out with another victory in a Ramadan kick off against Team Woodbridge. The Asylum based team was mixed with muslims and non-muslims evenly, and a nutter-butter who doesn't know what a refree's whistle was for.
For us, there's only 3 non-muslim, so it was another factor we have to consider. Skopet started slow as our opponents adapt well to the game. Skopet were more toned down. Weak passes, weak runs, lack of brain juice to spark creative ideas. But still after 25 mins, a brilliant tactical switch has been made. The return from injury, Syahir switch with the return in action, Herman. Herman shot was parried away only for Baqir to score a rebound. It wasn't our best game but we did what we could. In the 2nd half, I was too slow to track back to an unmarked player who managed to find the equaliser. I can't accelerate sia. But another tactical switch was made. Sop and Fad came in back in the game. And rightfully so, the 2 of them was involve in another rebound-based goal by the rebound man, Baqir, who has made Regent his hunting ground.
For the rest of the game, we hung to ourselves and our luck.
Tactical switch spot on.
2-1 to Skopet.
We will have another suicidal run for another match next week.

--> was the final score. We beat that team with a budaktaik striker twice with the aggregate of 8-2.. dah qualify champions league. yeah! bring in more revenue. Im sure we could have scored much more if not for the woeful finishing of strikers and the opponents rough-house tactics which led ref Mario to abandon the game 10mins frm time. sigh.. sore losers.

Scoring problems.
Yeah..pardon us guys for not updating the blog as frequently as possible. Too much internal problems and too little time to settle them all.We had our last game before the fasting month at a new location..CCK teen challenge field. SSC called us at 11 am to tell us that our field booking is cancelled cos of rainoff.. Bloody hell. It has stopped raining then. Oh i forgot. U guys need to preserve the field for 44 generations to come. Zzzzz. Pissed the shit out of the whole team. haha. From Yew Tee, we had to make our way to a quiet and deserted place somewhere near the cemeteries of Lim Chu Kang Area. Basket. Must the be referee evil master plan of getting more money. Waste time.Waste transport money.Waste energy.
Condolences to Zai who has just lost a part of his family. This win is for u bro. Be strong.
Our opponent was the same opponent as the last match. They asked for a rematch and so we gave them. But yet again, they are late and had to start with 9 men. Dots. It was a match to be forgotten. It was a match we could have won with only 44% of our full strength. It was a match that was not worthy of our tme. Come to think of it, i should not have wasted my time writng this post. Pegi dating lagi muai.
So we played well especially in the first half scoring 3 goals. 2 from Abg Sal ( former adik sal..who recently turned 20 ) worthy of Man of the match performance. Both are great team goals with superb and decisive finishing.Well done adik angkat Fadly. haha. The other goal was from Babybear who wonderfully breasted the ball before unleashing an unstoppable volley using his hairy paws. Wow. Awesome goal it was. And as expected, this 2 brothers were seen holding hands , hopping instead of walking and singing 'We are the world' after the game. As Abg Hidung said , 'no comment' about that. Haiz..What is happening my boys? Too much ego has filled up our heads. I mean football terms. wE need to tone down. And hopefully in the upcoming fasting month , we shall use it to do that. Reflect our actions.
The opponent scored a free-kick after Eng Choon commited a foul. First of all , it was a clean tackle. 2nd it was inside the penalty box. hahahaha. But the ref called for a free kick just outside the box. To make it worse, even with our biggest 5 players making the wall , they scored a good free kick goal. Rudy dig didi was well beaten. Awww so sad. And what do the ref had to say about that? LOL. He asked Rudy ,' How could he scored so easily?' during the interval. hahahaha. Smack his balls.
2nd half was a dissapointing time for us. With 4o chances to score..none of them went it. Goal scoring mojo is missing. It ran away to date some cute gerl out there.Pls come back mojo. We really really need u. Woot. We hit the post 4 times including their goalkeeper..Hahaha. Sop empet hit the post after a solo dribbling run. Jonas hit the left side of the post with a powerful header. Fad Baby bear after a wonderful accurate pass from his his adik angkat headed the ball with so much power that it forced the goalkeeper to make a reflex save only to hit the post on his landing. hahaha. kesian. It was a gruesome scene. Scary. One of the few times we could see someone broke into half hitting the post. Gd thing he was ok.
Some of their players are just not into sports like soccer. Sad. Only know how to pick a fight. Shit kids. With intent to even injure our players. Luckily the ref had some control over the game. If not , I would have shown my close combat moves which I learnt during NS and face-raped them.hahahaha.Seriously.
Congrats guys , we showed that we still have our heads even though we are provoked. We won but we know we could have at least gone double digit to say the very least. But 3-1 was still a gd score. We found out we are also cam whores - posing for the camera like there's no tommorow. Pics coming up. So yeah. Fad do the honour after u get ur pics from ur adik angkat.

Skopet's search for championship glory still goes on...
Controversy, drama, action, beautiful and ugly soccer. 64 teams going at it. That was what happened today in the MDIS Street Soccer Challenge. Personally for me, it doesn't matter if we still didn't get the championship because I am proud and impressed by the way each of every Skopet Trilogy played today.
Skopet Identity, my team, managed to go far till the last 16 round. We were like Argentina. Performed very well until the the match we got knocked out from. Over-powered and physically abused. Rizman and myself get thrown around the court and no thanks to the refree. Hah. But still, the good thing was we never gave up and give it our best till the final whistle. Despite being eliminated, we did well in the early stages playing our usual Skopet Soccer. I didn't score today because I lost my concentration sia...
The only Skopet team that didn't catch a break but great stuff Identity.

Skopet Ultimatum, or "The All Blacks", managed to go till the quarterfinals. 1st they got walked over, then they progress via walk-over. With exactly only 5 men, no subs and Baqir forced to play GK, they still managed to go the quarterfinals. Still, no thanks to the refree.

Finally, the team that was written off and critized, with an unbelivable odds of 1/4 times how many egoistic heads to the power of empet, Skopet Supremacy managed to clinched the 4th position in the whole tournament. They were like France of 2006. Ugly wins in the early stage but after a twist of fate and a few livid opponents who we can't understand the words that were coming out of their mouth, Skopet Supremacy find their form and made it all the way to the semifinals. But too bad 100 bucks was determined by penalty kicks.

Oooh yeah. It felt real good to have our first official training. The skopet had their first training since the team was established a year ago. LOL. Weird? dun think so. With lazy kids like us , training was not an option. All we are interested is to play soccer..kick some balls and win games. So it was a bit awkward to start the ball rolling at the field @ fuchun sec. Obvious reason? Duh.. we dun have a coach. hahaha..we make do with watever soccer training experience and share those with the team. Thanks Rudy for conducting the main bulk of the training. The rest just chipped in their views and recommended their own way of doing things. Hahahaha. Rojak tactics and drills.
So what what did we cover? What did we trained on? Hmmm gd questions... My starting position for skopet is still a mystery to all. So all this knowledge seemed too much for me. I wondered and pondered the night away. Sigh. One moment i have to apply defensive drills. The next moment attack. Too confusing. Another team awaits me. But skopet is still in my heart. Is still the ONE. So guys. What should i do? Help me.
Muahahahaha.
Back to topic proper. We worked on our set pieces. Our offensive corner. We came up with a plan or routine on how and what to do in a corner. The hand signals of the corner kicker/taker should be clearly displayed but yeah.. it took us at least 15 minutes to decide what was what. It was crappy at first. Some examples of signals we came up with. Raising of one hand/ both hands / one leg...lol../ both legs ? even worse./ and then there was the 3rd leg..hahah. What is the 3rd leg? Dots. Doing any one of this actions mean something. The players in the penalty box should know what to do. We had lots of tries to get it right. Good job guys. We shall score from a corner next time though statistics wise.. we score 94% of our goals from normal play.
Then we worked on our defensive drills. most are applicable to the defenders. So it was not my problem since i am not one. We tied down all the positioning for our zonal marking. Who to cover who in any situations where any defender is beaten. Who to make the wall during a freekick against us. Who to stand where during defending against a corner. Etc etc. haha.
Shooting practice. Way off..haha. Semua tendang ikut nafsu. Puasa dok. Apa ni. 90% of our shots are off target. Wasted all of our energy on this part of the training. It all boils down on the situation. Whether to lob the ball , a simple placing or tap in or just plain power shot. We improved a bit here. Hopefully , the main scorers are scoring again.
So there u go. A toned down and boring post on my behalf. So many more crap and ramblings to write but no go. One more thing guys. Mavericks FC asked for a friendly this Saturday @3pm but u guys know we already had an upcoming game with a veteran team @ lianghua pri @ 5pm on the same day. So me and fadly just want to know which game u guys are more keen. Obviously the 5pm slot since majority of us are fasting. Tell us ASAP. so we can make the necessary changes.

ok its official.. we are too intimidating for most teams. The whole week was spent trying to get us an opponent -
after the scheduled match at lianhua was postponed by a week- but to no avail. After asking more than 20 teams , i give up. haha. Even ref
Mario who promised to help us is now not answering phonecalls. Someone pls tell him he's fired! lol.
No game? no problem. Nothing can break our indomitable skopet spirit. Tomorrow shall be our first training practice ever. Couple of drills, work on set-pieces, and perhaps a seven-a-side game towards the end. Which means that.. we can use as many people as possible. So everyone including fringe players(lousy attendance) pls turn up. It will be fun, playing among ourselves, just like in the school field during recess time years back. haha
Fuchun Sec 5pm - bring both kits. its about time we take a proper team photo.
So yeah.. see u guys tomorrow.. bring friends or relatives if you want. the more the merrier.

No food?...Still quite managable.
But no water?....Dehyrdration was a big factor.
But thanks to Baqir's brace, Skopet came out with another victory in a Ramadan kick off against Team Woodbridge. The Asylum based team was mixed with muslims and non-muslims evenly, and a nutter-butter who doesn't know what a refree's whistle was for.
For us, there's only 3 non-muslim, so it was another factor we have to consider. Skopet started slow as our opponents adapt well to the game. Skopet were more toned down. Weak passes, weak runs, lack of brain juice to spark creative ideas. But still after 25 mins, a brilliant tactical switch has been made. The return from injury, Syahir switch with the return in action, Herman. Herman shot was parried away only for Baqir to score a rebound. It wasn't our best game but we did what we could. In the 2nd half, I was too slow to track back to an unmarked player who managed to find the equaliser. I can't accelerate sia. But another tactical switch was made. Sop and Fad came in back in the game. And rightfully so, the 2 of them was involve in another rebound-based goal by the rebound man, Baqir, who has made Regent his hunting ground.
For the rest of the game, we hung to ourselves and our luck.
Tactical switch spot on.
2-1 to Skopet.
We will have another suicidal run for another match next week.

This is a toned down report/entry from me. Less antagonising. Less provocative.
In real life, I will be like that too. Because it's Ramadan. Enjoy this one month of purity and tranquility from me. Actually it's not only during Ramadan. I am always like that everyday.
But of course during this one month, I will not go on a date.

Im sure we could have scored much more if not for the woeful finishing of strikers and the opponents rough-house tactics which led ref Mario to abandon the game 10mins frm time. sigh.. sore losers.

Last year I did a similar thing. Having intesive PT sessions during the fasting month. So to all you Skopet Muslims, don't be such a wuss. We can still play football while fasting.

Yeah..pardon us guys for not updating the blog as frequently as possible. Too much internal problems and too little time to settle them all.We had our last game before the fasting month at a new location..CCK teen challenge field. SSC called us at 11 am to tell us that our field booking is cancelled cos of rainoff.. Bloody hell. It has stopped raining then. Oh i forgot. U guys need to preserve the field for 44 generations to come. Zzzzz. Pissed the shit out of the whole team. haha. From Yew Tee, we had to make our way to a quiet and deserted place somewhere near the cemeteries of Lim Chu Kang Area. Basket. Must the be referee evil master plan of getting more money. Waste time.Waste transport money.Waste energy.
Condolences to Zai who has just lost a part of his family. This win is for u bro. Be strong.
Our opponent was the same opponent as the last match. They asked for a rematch and so we gave them. But yet again, they are late and had to start with 9 men. Dots. It was a match to be forgotten. It was a match we could have won with only 44% of our full strength. It was a match that was not worthy of our tme. Come to think of it, i should not have wasted my time writng this post. Pegi dating lagi muai.
So we played well especially in the first half scoring 3 goals. 2 from Abg Sal ( former adik sal..who recently turned 20 ) worthy of Man of the match performance. Both are great team goals with superb and decisive finishing.Well done adik angkat Fadly. haha. The other goal was from Babybear who wonderfully breasted the ball before unleashing an unstoppable volley using his hairy paws. Wow. Awesome goal it was. And as expected, this 2 brothers were seen holding hands , hopping instead of walking and singing 'We are the world' after the game. As Abg Hidung said , 'no comment' about that. Haiz..What is happening my boys? Too much ego has filled up our heads. I mean football terms. wE need to tone down. And hopefully in the upcoming fasting month , we shall use it to do that. Reflect our actions.
The opponent scored a free-kick after Eng Choon commited a foul. First of all , it was a clean tackle. 2nd it was inside the penalty box. hahahaha. But the ref called for a free kick just outside the box. To make it worse, even with our biggest 5 players making the wall , they scored a good free kick goal. Rudy dig didi was well beaten. Awww so sad. And what do the ref had to say about that? LOL. He asked Rudy ,' How could he scored so easily?' during the interval. hahahaha. Smack his balls.
2nd half was a dissapointing time for us. With 4o chances to score..none of them went it. Goal scoring mojo is missing. It ran away to date some cute gerl out there.Pls come back mojo. We really really need u. Woot. We hit the post 4 times including their goalkeeper..Hahaha. Sop empet hit the post after a solo dribbling run. Jonas hit the left side of the post with a powerful header. Fad Baby bear after a wonderful accurate pass from his his adik angkat headed the ball with so much power that it forced the goalkeeper to make a reflex save only to hit the post on his landing. hahaha. kesian. It was a gruesome scene. Scary. One of the few times we could see someone broke into half hitting the post. Gd thing he was ok.
Some of their players are just not into sports like soccer. Sad. Only know how to pick a fight. Shit kids. With intent to even injure our players. Luckily the ref had some control over the game. If not , I would have shown my close combat moves which I learnt during NS and face-raped them.hahahaha.Seriously.
Congrats guys , we showed that we still have our heads even though we are provoked. We won but we know we could have at least gone double digit to say the very least. But 3-1 was still a gd score. We found out we are also cam whores - posing for the camera like there's no tommorow. Pics coming up. So yeah. Fad do the honour after u get ur pics from ur adik angkat.

Controversy, drama, action, beautiful and ugly soccer. 64 teams going at it. That was what happened today in the MDIS Street Soccer Challenge. Personally for me, it doesn't matter if we still didn't get the championship because I am proud and impressed by the way each of every Skopet Trilogy played today.
Skopet Identity, my team, managed to go far till the last 16 round. We were like Argentina. Performed very well until the the match we got knocked out from. Over-powered and physically abused. Rizman and myself get thrown around the court and no thanks to the refree. Hah. But still, the good thing was we never gave up and give it our best till the final whistle. Despite being eliminated, we did well in the early stages playing our usual Skopet Soccer. I didn't score today because I lost my concentration sia...
The only Skopet team that didn't catch a break but great stuff Identity.

Skopet Ultimatum, or "The All Blacks", managed to go till the quarterfinals. 1st they got walked over, then they progress via walk-over. With exactly only 5 men, no subs and Baqir forced to play GK, they still managed to go the quarterfinals. Still, no thanks to the refree.

Finally, the team that was written off and critized, with an unbelivable odds of 1/4 times how many egoistic heads to the power of empet, Skopet Supremacy managed to clinched the 4th position in the whole tournament. They were like France of 2006. Ugly wins in the early stage but after a twist of fate and a few livid opponents who we can't understand the words that were coming out of their mouth, Skopet Supremacy find their form and made it all the way to the semifinals. But too bad 100 bucks was determined by penalty kicks.

Great goal by Hatta Suratman. That kind of goal usually I see during training only. Haha. So it is great when you can reproduce it like that in an actual match. MacHatta's first goal for Skopet. Yeah!
