Finally team Skopet broke its jinx of underperforming in tournaments. We played well yesterday to claim our first cup -The Adelphos Cup.
A marvellous improvised goal from Boyboyan secured victory in the final game against Eagles.
The nalo boy was on form, hitting six out of 15 goals for skopet; deserving of an MVP award if any.
Everyone else played well. Syaf and Hatta formed an impenetrable fortress at the back. Our Gk Rudy swatted opponents' shots away like flies, with the team conceeding only one goal in the whole tournament. Syahir,Saliman and me took turns to break down the opponents' defence.
Everyone scored except Saliman, who made up for it with ample assists.
Well done guys. Lets make this the first of many cup wins for skopet.
Thank you to the 'vocal' Sop pet ( injured), baqir and husni who came down to support the team.

With the celebrations out of the way, lets refocus on the task at hand. Tomorrow we'll be playing a friendly against Benedetto Fc. Our intel gathered that they're a solid team, with their defence led by Rudy's former SAJC captain. Be prepared and expect a good fight. http://benedettounited.com/home/ . Hatta is out for this match, but Zai and Prem are back to cover. Perhaps Zali too will lend his strength.
A good warm up for next week's tournament.
