What soccermania? Oh gosh. We sending 3 teams to this competition. Haha. As always. Glory-minded bitches.
Skopet Elites? Hahahaha. Merapok. Zzzz white kit. As shown in the last 4 competition , whenever we wear white kit , we got third place. ( Adidas WORLD challenge & IRCC International 6-a-side field tornament) . Dots. I do not want to get 3rd. haha. Champions of the Aldesphos CUP @ FICO sports hub and NUS fiesta beach soccer championships when we wore blue. @@. Pandai2 je the other skopet team nak pakai biru. Isap ah. Haha. They call themselves Skopet Leftovers. Step humble konon. Should call themselves 'Skopet Kare-Kare' . LOL same thing - same meaning as Skopet Leftovers. Just sound nicer.
Wowie. We have a ladies team. Wholesome. But i heard the team had a discussion and wanted to be called Skopet Minahs.Oh wait......That sounds wrong. Erm Skopet Chickies maybe?. Hahahaha. And in the end the ladies only wanted to be known as the Skopet-eers. Lame. LOL. Apa2 ah. Hahaha. I could see the list Baby bear put up is not really updated. We decided Naf Ibu Bear and Inn Pet will lead their minions to their first silverware. Sapiah Gremlin could be the watergirl. No? haha. Rumours had it that it is the ladies' first time playing together as a team. But i doubt so. So watever it is. Always do what the skopet guys do best - Jangan macam paham je.
Main thing guys , have fun and dun get injured^^. And trust me , inside is the way to go. Later peeps. Lame post , I know.

Beach Soccer Champions
Skopet swept another honour in the month of march by winning in the NUS Fiesta Beach soccer 2008 yesterday. Thats 4 medal finishes in the first half of what seemed like an increasing fruitful year.
We decided to join last-min upon persistent harrasment from toyol who is determined to get his maiden tournament win for skopet. With our referee unable to secure the usual friendly, Boyboyan, Toyol, Soppet, Gremlin,Tempeh, Adiksal and myself captain marvel travelled all the way to sentosa to don the skopet colours.
Motivation was quite low since we're all beach soccer virgins with no training. Sop, Syahir,Saliman even came 2 hrs late! ish ish..
The idea was to have fun and then mandi laut. But we accidentally won the whole thing. A very slow start with couple of 1-1 draws courtesy of us conceding a min after scoring. Needing a win to qualify and the score tied at 1-1, we somehow got another 4 goals to win 5-1.
We beat new friends lashearutsusu fc 3-0 in in the semis b4 finishing henry's team via sop's golden goal in the final. Well done skopet wildboyz. Our usual slick passing and attacking play successfully translated onto beach soccer. Sop was top scorer with 4(haha), organiser of the day herman, saliman,syahir n me with 2 goals a piece. Great teamwork guys. Herman's performance-enhancing drug Kuku Bima worked wonders for a lethargic team..
And ahmad dah boleh bilang mak dia, dia menang.. baik ah ahmad. Ohh before that the hot-tempehed ahmad led the skopet players to a dispute with the organiser about zouk complimentary passes.. haha wtf. No comments.

VIVA LA SKOPET!!!!
Match update for the second day of Adidas Challenge
wooooh....what a weekend it had been for 6 of our very own Skopet musketeers as they flew our rainbow coloured flag at the adidas challenge tournament, one of the most prestigious in the country. Surprisingly and unfortunately, we got in 3rd place, albeit some controversy regarding our best player Syafie and also lack of luck in front of goal. or should i say no luck at all as we did not put a single ball into the net in open play. lots of post-hitting and great goalkeeping moments which made us undergo 3 heart-wrenching penalty shoot-outs. nevertheless, we manage to win all of them with Rudy in superb form and the 3 penalty takers, Syahir Rizman and Saliman did not miss a single penalty kick.
it was in the semi-finals against kooroosuma that syafie was taken away from us as he was wearing a 3 quarter shorts. don't ask. shortly after that , we conceded a goal. still fuming from the stupid decision made by the management, we were unable to equalize and there goes our final fantasy and a rematch with La Plata Juniors .....a team that played like flowing water and the team that deserve to win.
with that, we should be hearten that we, Skopet FC , can match up against the very best. perhaps with some luck we could have even win the tournament. lets carry on this feat and build on this success.

Can we go all the way ?
Yo yo yo. Hi peeps. Pardon skopet FC for the blog's inactivity for about a week. LOL. I know u fans are dissappointed everytime u see the blog not updated. We feel u..haha.
First up , the match report of our last week's match against Oboys FC. *yawn* . One week overdue u say. Dah basi. Apa nak buat. Someone got to do it. Make it short and chop chop.
We won 1-0. Period. Against all odds. Against PRCs who are double our heights. Haha. Its true. But not even their height factor can survive the skopet's onslaught of sleek passing , fluid play and wholesome teamwork . Muahah. bual2 world. Baby bear scored that goal after an awesome through pass from 'OF ALL PEOPLE' zai bacul..hahahahaha. We suffered a massive blow though. Our cyborq defenders -Abg hidung sprained his ankle and Jiaming got a huge gash on his forehead after colliding with one of the Oboys strikers. Blood spurting out like there's tmr. The whole field turned red. LOL macam compositon pat sec skool. 12 stiches. Sad . Out for a few weeks. We wish u well Jiaming. Rest well my boy.
Back to what is supposedly to be posted. We participated in the 5v5 futsal adidas competition goup stage this morning @ SAFRA Tampines. Men's category. 40 teams. 8 groups of 5 teams.
Of course we play to win. DUh. But with Abihsot FC known for their physical play and roughhouse tactics, in our group. We were a bit wary.Another team in our group we got to see before our first match was very impressive. They beat Abihsot 2-0. Le Plata FC it was. Weird names they have..haha.
They were the teams to beat though we did not even know 2 of the other opponents yet. But we cruised our way through with 2 victories against Broncho and Puyal. 2-0 and 3-1. 6 points in the bag. Next up abihsot. What do u think happen? lol.. good result for us. 1-1 though we know we could beat them inside out lol..7 points and we already qualified for the knockout stages. Last game was against Le Plata FC who has 9 points with 3 wins compared to our 7 points of 2 wins and a draw. So it was a battle for the top spot for Group H. We won 4-1. Wow. Even we were a bit of shock. hahahhaha. Our goals coming from all over the place. Well done
Team Skopet Leftovers consisting of Rudy , Syaf , Myself , Sop , Saliman and Syahir. Tmr will be the big crunch. Knockout stage. Lots to play for. $4800><.

ok match report proper..
Skopets 6-match winning streak and 5 games cleansheet run came to an end on saturday in the 1-1 away draw with Mavericks Fc. Playing in an unfamiliar surrounding and starting with 9 men at kickoff, we were pressed to defend in the opening minutes before loverboy Sop and Hattaman arrived to even the numbers. Mavericks are a bunch of fit and hardworking players (like us. haha) and at such it was a tight first half with no goals
even though Prodigy syaf rocked the crossbar and Sop pet fluffed the rebound. No substitute was available for team skopet again- which is always crucial in a fast paced match like this. Thankfully honorory member Luqman arrived in time to replace the cramped overworked Syaf late in the second half.
Mavericks took the lead early in the second half against the run of play, leaving the skopet players gutted. As usual i didnt see the goal as I was far away from the action. haha. Damn, there goes our consecutive cleansheets. But the goal proved to be the wake-up call to our team, stepping up a gear or two.
We laid siege in the mavericks half, creating plenty of chances amid waves and waves of attack.
However, poor finishing and good saves from the keeper prevented Skopet a deserved equalizer..... that is... until...
... rudy's heroics. Our Gk joined the attack and drilled a grounder into goal from a Boyboyan's corner, his second skopet goal from a setpiece. And Ive never seen the team celebrate so jubilantly. haha. Good job Rud.
Having characteristically clawed our way back from defeat (remember the 6-3 game? 0-3 at HT), a rejuvenated Skopet tried to go for the kill while the defence held firm to mavericks' counter-attacks. Debutant Shiayi's strike was denied by their outstanding keeper while the crossbar again stopped Syaf's header from going in. Kau tak mandi kape syaf?
Desperate for another goal, Boyboyan joined the attack and instantly showed why a Fad-Rizman partnership upfront is still desired ; livelier interchanges and better understanding. And so more chances came and more chances wasted. haha.
Both sides held on till the end to share the spoils.
Full-time 1-1. Skopet extends our unbeaten run to 14 matches.
Verdict :
We didnt play our usual game and with the chances we had, should have taken this one. A draw is good result and kudos to the opponents for making it a game for the neutrals.
A concern would be the thin squad we're having in recent weeks. Apart from key players missing like Syahir,Prem,Choon,Zai.. where are the rest of our squad? Every week we're up against opponents with 3-5 subs. a recruitment drive soon perhaps.
