Losers & Lovers

Skopet Jokers got sixth place in the velocity cage tournament yesterday. Haha pretty unlucky. Some s-league players are involved, notably noor ali and sop's idol, farhan. After breezing the qualifiers 5-0, 0-0 , 5-1 last week, we got off on the wrong foot losing 2-0 in the first game.
We picked up thereafter and won the remaining group matches to top the group comfortably, including coming back from behind to win 3-2. All that in 10 min games? woh hardcore action.

The quarterfinals was a joke. We didnt realise the match duration has been cut down to 6 mins. trailing by a goal, supersubs Prem,me and herman, was getting ready to come on and make a difference, when suddenly the ref blew fulltime. WTF. we didnt even get a chance. **** la. We lost 2-1. the losing goal was a blooper by stand in keeper Sam who 'passed' the ball to a striker in front of goal. Haha tu la tk pakai gloves, kan licin. nvm dude. hard luck. you did well saving us several times. Thanks for playing for skopet.

So the boys cried after bowing out and proceeded to support the girls in their entertaining matches. Until hatta discovered we have a 5th/6th placing match.. which is against.. Weiming's team.

Yes ar.. redemption time.. And this time its back to 10mins game. However we trailed 2-0, dont noe what hit us. Captain marvel then came in and scored 2 goals to level the game which proceeded to penalties. First kicker boyboyan rammed an unstoppable shot.... straight into the keeper's stomach. (he showed us the ball print on his tummy after the game haha). 2nd kicker Sopbest took the kick well and aimed at the side, but the ball went to the centre and to the keeper instead. Weak ar korang. time practice sume masok. ish. the opponent made no mistakes and got the 5th placing. but who cares right. We're all losers anyway.

So we got a loser's 6th place medal. Takpela rezeki.. I can use it as a paperweight or something.

The girls showed the skopet's spirit and never-say-die attitude playing well against more established opponents, despite losing all games. So many instructions were shouted from the bench, i wonder how can they not get confused. Coach sop pet and rizman,manager fad, sofi's bf, mom and dad all shouting like mad. haha.Finally Capt Ju got a goal, sending players and supporters alike celebrating in jubilation as though we won the cup. haah classic. More time and practice and u girls will be winning in no time.

Well done all. was a good outing. didnt reap much, but we had fun. Eligible bachelor rizman managed to get severall numbers from the other ladies teams. woot. And prem fell in love with 'drogba's sister'. haha. ok thanks hatta for organising the team in my absence. Now who wants to take charge of next tournament?
