why me?..defeated match report?. alrite..lets get this over and done with. we lost. to a team we beat 4 times on friendlies. maybe that's the curse, not winning on one team for more than 4 times. the opponents were impressive. we got off on the wrong foot perhaps and they scored 2 quick goals. the 2nd goal was somewhat unethical/un-sportsman-like. but shit happens. then, we were down to 10 against 11, with no subs. after only 10-15 mins. (hardcore weiming got injured during the course of the 2nd goal. lets hope for your speedy recovery.). they scored again but we manage to pull one back before the break. pooh bear(fad) pounced on from a rebound(btw, he was trying to open the water container, just imagine pooh bear and a bee hive...ooh how we laughed). 2nd half, we held on but couldn't break thru. we sit deep with restricted attacking options. perhaps one available sub could have make the difference. but ok lah hah, we scored 1 and we did what we can and attempt to pull out an impossible task. everybody gave their best. predicaments/challenges like this can happen again. now Mr "Guy Smiley" referee. ok, decisions, although controversial or flat out bullshit, and you saw what happen but didn't make the call. that sorta shits happen. but don't fucking smile at me and shrug your shoulders. what's that suppose to mean... oh yah, and this opponent gave me a hug. it was the warmest hug i've had in years, i wouldn't blame him. it was during match time though. next time, let's hold hands.

The lianhua team as usual didnt disappoint and took the game to us from the start.a worthy opponent i might say, even tho we beat them 4 times before, it has always been a close affair.
What let us down was the turnout for the day. only 11 came out of the 20+ players we have.. hope its a one off thing.

Anyway match report against the Royals ( Fad did tried to ask the team name proper but could only make out the word 'Royals' from the ang moh. haha.) has been done by the ladies. Let's see how much i can remember about that game. We started strong and I am not sure whether we played to win or impress since the Skopet ladies were present to show their support. Well there's the curse we had to worry about. Hah. Captain Fad got Skopet FC the lead after a weighted defence-splitting pass from Prem. The keeper stood no chance. Skopet's defence held firm warding off Royals attack and everytime tried to attack on the break. I got away from Royal's rightback at the left flank one time and got a diagonal ball from one of the midfielders. The opposition tried to claim offside but it was too late. I smashed the ball home with a right-footed drive. Ah yes. Our attack slowed down a bit after that and was heavily depending on our defence to get the ball back. Our guest player , Bob , did well to contain the Royal's speeding left winger right from the start. 3rd goal came soon after. Sop pet managed to wriggle past defenders on the right flank before unleashing a low cross into the penalty box. With a stroke of luck , the last Royal's defender failed to get clean contact on the ball to get it away from the danger area. Fadly bear can't react in time to get the ball in front of him to just tap it into the goal. He expected the ball to not reach him at all.Hahaha.As always , I had to do the dirty work of cleaning up after him. The ball fell at my feet instead and immediately curled the ball away from goalkeeper and into the goal. Another ah yes. Sorry fad. Shit happens. 3 subs were made and the scoreline remained 3-0 till half-time.
Royals came back very strongly during the 2nd half. Skopet defenders had a hard time halting attack after attack and leaked in a good goal 15 minutes into the 2nd half. Clean sheet gone for the game. I was useless in the 2nd half. Syahir took over me as left-wing and attacking play resumed after that. Fad-Aza combi was not working as well and it took Fad-Sop partnership to get our 4th goal. Good cross from Adik sal . A wicked bounce to deceive the defenders before the bear got his flying paws to squeeze the ball into the goal. Bearsome. Azhar playing his 10th game if i not wrong for Skopet all this 2 years replaced Fad. Yeah , showing silky skills of his trademark flicks , it was his day and his moment. With a deft turn using his love handles to give more power and acceleration , azhar got away with style from the Royal's last man ( an Ang Moh ) to recieve a long ball from Sop Pet. His first touch was world-class. A delicate flick to set himself up for an unstoppable volley. Exploded!!! A goal. Everyone was in awe of the goal. Goal of the season I assume. Haha. Man of the match. Well done homer. 5-1 was the final score.
It was not our best perfomance but we got the job done especially in front of the ladies.Hahaha.Kudos boboys esp to the defenders and goalkeeper for putting up a solid show. Stay tune for the match preview this Sat against our old nemesis, the LiangHua veteran team.

1)play the overlap if possible when the fullbacks have already galloped upfield waiting for the ball.dont leave them out.We attack and defend TOGETHER. 2)more passing and teamwork guys. mai kancheong.. get the ball dont need to dribble or rempuh to goal all the time. im guilty of that too haha.

15 players turned up for the game. What? Thats a record? yes it is. We had 4 subsitutes which was suprising beside the fact that our core players captain Fad , Prodigy Syaf , Choon and Hatta were not playing.

It was a hot and sunny Saturday afternoon. The match was scheduled to start @ 3pm but ard 2 pm 4 Skopet players consisting of Syahir , Rizman , Rudy and Jiaming arrived on the scene. Rudy and Jiaming wasted no time preparing themselves for the match while myself read the newspaper at one corner. Syahir who was from work had chicken rice for lunch. Slowly , one by one , Skopet players turned up.Not a word was said between the players and in no time , Calang FC showed up. They looked promising and we felt this match could be a run for our money.
Hahaha. Stop it eh. *Squealing in joy and shivering with excitement*
After deciding on the first eleven , we kick start the match with confidence. Calang FC tried to play the offside trap many times and it worked to a certain extent. Our central midfielders Prem and Mar fed so many super through balls to the wingers and strikers and it was a matter of time before the obvious offside trap leaked in goals. I scored the first goal after a good break at the right wing with Saliman getting the ball to me. A simple tap-in goal. Classy. We doubled our lead sometime after some scrambling in Calang FC's penalty box through Syahir. Well done. We had like 44 offsides and missed chances before I latched onto a defensive mistake by their last defender and blasted the ball home. Good goal.More to come soon after that. After 4 simultaneous subs , Mar who switched to left wing position got hold of the ball at the left flank after a wholesome long ball from Prem . He broke free of the defensive line and sprinted down the bar line before releasing a delicate ball to me..yes me again..to tap the ball for another goal. Awesome. Wooooo. Hat-trick, Dot dot dot. 4-0 it was during the interval. Skopet FC was playing one of their best football in a long time.Defensively , we had it under control. Nice one defenders.Solid as ever. I love u all. ( With em ard , I can play my desired position as a striker..Haha)
Rudy gave a talk which worked somehow during the break. It worked where we supposedly went from 2nd gear to 4th gear. Bam! Smack! Kaplang!. No one see it coming. We scored another 8 goals in the 2nd half. Syahir completed his brace. Prem too. Sop scored a 'prank' shot. Hahahhaa. I was walking past Calang FC's goalkeeper as a substitute for 2nd half and he was grinning about the goal he just conceded. I could only grin back. Hahaha.Less offsides amazingly. Weiming scored his first goal for skopet FC after good work from our latest signing , Mar. Another open goal tap-in type. Hahahaha. Now now , Zai Bacul had been trying very hard during the whole 2nd half to get a goal. He wasted so many glorious oppurtunities. Ish ish. Only after I replaced Syahir and scored another 2 goals ( what?!) , Zai finally got his goal. Oooh yeah. By then , the ref had no choice but to stop the match and it was good measure to prevent prolonged misery for Calang FC. 2nd half was like 10 minutes shorter than the 1st. Zzzzz. Come on ref. 2 hat-tricks is not a bad thing. hahahahahahaha. So yeah 12-0 was the final scoreline.
I apologised if I bual2 world too much. Hah.But it was magnificent play from Skopet FC. Again , no words to describe the way we just played that match.*Tears rolling down my cheeks* Kudos boboys. Fadly did a very touching gesture after the game. He came to pick his team up and send them home. Awww so sweet. We appreciate it. Watever it is fad , ur time will come^^. *winks*
