Match report long overdue. That's the difference between 5 goals and 2 goals. Haha. Maaf ye. Anyway match report against the Royals ( Fad did tried to ask the team name proper but could only make out the word 'Royals' from the ang moh. haha.) has been done by the ladies. Let's see how much i can remember about that game. We started strong and I am not sure whether we played to win or impress since the Skopet ladies were present to show their support. Well there's the curse we had to worry about. Hah. Captain Fad got Skopet FC the lead after a weighted defence-splitting pass from Prem. The keeper stood no chance. Skopet's defence held firm warding off Royals attack and everytime tried to attack on the break. I got away from Royal's rightback at the left flank one time and got a diagonal ball from one of the midfielders. The opposition tried to claim offside but it was too late. I smashed the ball home with a right-footed drive. Ah yes. Our attack slowed down a bit after that and was heavily depending on our defence to get the ball back. Our guest player , Bob , did well to contain the Royal's speeding left winger right from the start. 3rd goal came soon after. Sop pet managed to wriggle past defenders on the right flank before unleashing a low cross into the penalty box. With a stroke of luck , the last Royal's defender failed to get clean contact on the ball to get it away from the danger area. Fadly bear can't react in time to get the ball in front of him to just tap it into the goal. He expected the ball to not reach him at all.Hahaha.As always , I had to do the dirty work of cleaning up after him. The ball fell at my feet instead and immediately curled the ball away from goalkeeper and into the goal. Another ah yes. Sorry fad. Shit happens. 3 subs were made and the scoreline remained 3-0 till half-time.

Royals came back very strongly during the 2nd half. Skopet defenders had a hard time halting attack after attack and leaked in a good goal 15 minutes into the 2nd half. Clean sheet gone for the game. I was useless in the 2nd half. Syahir took over me as left-wing and attacking play resumed after that. Fad-Aza combi was not working as well and it took Fad-Sop partnership to get our 4th goal. Good cross from Adik sal . A wicked bounce to deceive the defenders before the bear got his flying paws to squeeze the ball into the goal. Bearsome. Azhar playing his 10th game if i not wrong for Skopet all this 2 years replaced Fad. Yeah , showing silky skills of his trademark flicks , it was his day and his moment. With a deft turn using his love handles to give more power and acceleration , azhar got away with style from the Royal's last man ( an Ang Moh ) to recieve a long ball from Sop Pet. His first touch was world-class. A delicate flick to set himself up for an unstoppable volley. Exploded!!! A goal. Everyone was in awe of the goal. Goal of the season I assume. Haha. Man of the match. Well done homer. 5-1 was the final score.

It was not our best perfomance but we got the job done especially in front of the ladies.Hahaha.Kudos boboys esp to the defenders and goalkeeper for putting up a solid show.
