I could only laughed in disbelief. haha. For the last 2 weeks , we are supposed to have a game but due to some taber reasons, we had none of em. Let's see boboys , one week we got ourselves a field and a ref but no opponent and the following week we got a team but no field. Woot. Now now , whats happening this week? Let's see -we got a field and an opposition team but we got no team ourselves. LOL. Maybe next week , we will have everything but a major problem - a kit clash between the 2 teams and no alternatives. Satu team kena telanjang ah kalo nak main. Week after that - maybe no ref. Wow so many permutations of problems each week. Adiksal can u calculate the probability of us getting a proper game with everything in place every week?

No info on the other team as always but we are used to battling such every week. Aight little details such as meeting place etc etc will be posted soon enough.
sa Since we're not getting enough soccer due to shortage of pple(exams) boyboyan and I have been trying our hands at other games these past weeks.. and found out that we sux at bowling and pool. So we decided to quit both and try table tennis instead. Playing for the first time with soppet and toyol at cck, we felt we did quite ok. Not so embarrassing or flop ar. And it was surprisingly fun.
After a wacky session, I think we guys picked up enough to sent out a formal challenge to the ladies team who " fear nothing". So do you dare?
Some cool goals taken from youtube. No.2 is truly a gem. How did he do that? pure luck? Try asking a skopet player(aza) how do you train luck, the answer would be to pray a lot, do good deeds and refrain from sins. karma eh?
In that case something is definitely wrong somewhere cos we're out of luck in getting matches in recent weeks. The Lianhua field is always booked while getting SSC fields proved to be difficult since many schools closed operation. So be prepared for more away matches. This week will be at 3pm BALESTIER ITE. More details to come. Nonetheless the last 2 weeks without games is actually helpful for those having exams, knowing that they didnt miss anything. Not that it matters since Adiksal was spotted watching a movie last night at JP when he was supposed to be studying. Ohhh.. no time for soccer but got time for movies.. ishk. soccer match = 90mins. body of lies = 2+ hrs. Sigh how to major in maths hah.
Still on the topic of lucky/funny goals we do have a couple of our own which blurs the boundary between luck and skill. And in true skopet fashion, I give you our top 4.
4. On Lianhua ground, Sop(who else) hit a volley from distance which looked rather tame and weak.. until it bounced at the last minute away from the waiting keeper and into the goal. The keeper was shocked. luck or skill? skill, according to sop pet, he put an extra spin to the shot. right..
3. At Fuhua Sec, Toyol got a rare winner when he slotted the ball home after a series of mesmerising walking dribble. The ball rolled slowly into goal but the defenders who made an effort to chase and slide and whatever could not stop it in time. Skill, the walking dribble at its best would appear to slow down time. haha.
2. Against Hatta's RI team, I mishit a shot after coming on. A slow grounder rolling to the keeper.. the chance of going in was 0%, until the keeper scooped up the ball and over his head into goal. wtf? haha. Definitely skill, no way a keeper can make that sort of blunder right? heh.
1. And finally the numero uno goal was against a chinese team at Dunearn Sec. Zai bacul, having played as a striker a couple of times including that game, was desperate to score his first goal as a forward and came close on couple of occassions. His patience paid off as the ball bounced off his chest from an adiksal pinpoint cross and into the goal. Luck. nuff said.

Skopet FC got a hard earned draw against FC soldier last saturday. It was one of those difficult matches where the opponents are way fitter than us. The weather did little to aid in our cause of another victory.First half was an even game between the two sides with plenty of decent chances but neither team got a goal. So it was tied at 0-0 at the break.
2nd half was a different story. FC soldier got a goal through a corner halfway thru the 2nd half. We need to work out on our defending against set pieces as shown by that goal. It's been a while since we kept a clean sheet so yeah. Skopet FC pushed for an equaliser in the last minutes and was rewarded soon enough. Good work at the right flank with Captain Fad 'stealing' a ball from the FC soldier's who fed to Sop Pet. Sop Pet wasted no time unleashing a brutal shot. The goalkeeper could only parry the ball to me. Haha. I wasted no time to tap it in . Good goal. LOL
That was Skopet FC's 200th goal after 60 games. Well done guys. This goal is dedicated to all of u. hah.
There's issues regarding some tactics in the last few games and I think we got to address it ASAP for the upcoming games. We had a short discussion right after the game about our defensive backline to compact themselves when defending and also the wingers to drop back to help too with the defending. No offence Rudy but I think its because the defenders are trying to adapt themselves to the new system after the countless games we had played. That was where the defenders always spread themselves out and excel in overlapping runs down the flanks to aid the attack.Just my 4 cents worth. Myself , Fad , Zai , Prem and even our new signing Wei Hong had a a pretty long discussion about the new formations we are trying to get used to. Lots of suggestions but they are pointless if we don't consult the rest of the team. I suggest we will have a good one during the next game.

The next game is against an unknown opposition again on an SSC field so lets pray for good weather.
A problem with manpower this time as it is a period of essay deadlines for the NUS/NTU students like adiksal,husni n aza etc. So pls rope in your friends and family.

i apologized if there are any girls or anyone out there whose offended by my tagboard demeanors.except for mr p.u.s.s.y himself. i got so bored...hah..
everytime we go against the lianhua veterans team, it feels like our very own derby match. whoopty doo...anyway...1st half, skopet is a bit haywire. the veterans showed us that they're a better exponents of the passing game. with all due respect, i mean it. there were mere escapes and luck, but skopet showed grit and resilience throughout. after several barrage in our own half, somehow we manage to hang on and suddenly break thru with boyboyan's opener. offside?..not offside?...but the goal stands..wooohooo....but then our opponents struck an equaliser. a lovely pass, and a run from behind the defenders. rudy got a hand to it, but unfortunately ends up in the back of the net. 2nd half, we played much better. defending tightly, and hitting back with counter attacks. several minutes later, fad didn't manage to get a decent first touch from a cut back. but it fell favorably for prem to hit a deepavali goal. the king of pet could have scored but the birthday boy lacking bite in his shots. i think there was 4. (and yes, he is twenty pet years old. happy b'day!) skopet managed to hang on for the rest of the 90 mins for the win. wooohoo again. our good record against them still in tact. however, much respect to the opponents who gave us a run for our money. they always gave us a hard time.

Skopet FC got a hard earned draw against FC soldier last saturday. It was one of those difficult matches where the opponents are way fitter than us.
