better to be lucky or to be good?...

everytime we go against the lianhua veterans team, it feels like our very own derby match. whoopty doo...anyway...1st half, skopet is a bit haywire. the veterans showed us that they're a better exponents of the passing game. with all due respect, i mean it. there were mere escapes and luck, but skopet showed grit and resilience throughout. after several barrage in our own half, somehow we manage to hang on and suddenly break thru with boyboyan's opener. offside?..not offside?...but the goal stands..wooohooo....but then our opponents struck an equaliser. a lovely pass, and a run from behind the defenders. rudy got a hand to it, but unfortunately ends up in the back of the net. 2nd half, we played much better. defending tightly, and hitting back with counter attacks. several minutes later, fad didn't manage to get a decent first touch from a cut back. but it fell favorably for prem to hit a deepavali goal. the king of pet could have scored but the birthday boy lacking bite in his shots. i think there was 4. (and yes, he is twenty pet years old. happy b'day!) skopet managed to hang on for the rest of the 90 mins for the win. wooohoo again. our good record against them still in tact. however, much respect to the opponents who gave us a run for our money. they always gave us a hard time.
