Welcome to the first annual
Skopet Awards, where we honour outstanding achievements and excellence from our players. These awards are given out after a systematic and fair voting exercise by all players and fans in recognition of the individual brilliant contributions to the team.
Trophee du Ballon d'or ( Golden Ball award) - This is the traditional best player award; given to the player who have achieved a high level of consistency and inspiring performances in all matches. The backbone of the team, the player who receives this award truly deserves this most valuable player accolade in the eyes of his teammates and spectators; if any.
The nominees are : Yusuf,Syafii,Rudy,Fadly,Herman(vote sendiri).
And the winner of the golden ball 2006 is ....
SYAFII ! Well done prodigy syaf. Keep up the good work.
Trophee du Soulier d'or (Golden Boot award) - This award recognises the player with incredible technique and high level of predatory instinct demonstrated by achieving the highest individual goal tally within the team. The player who scores the most number of goals is definitely an asset in any team.
It is my pleasure to announce that the award goes to our very own maradona with 12 goals.. AKU!!!! haha baik ah Fad!!
Golden Pass award (most assists) - Given to the player with an eye for the killer pass or through ball. Unselfish in creating opportunities for teammates to score through his vision and creative play. The fulcrum of the team's attacking play, the recipient of this award has telepathic understanding with the strikers.
This award goes to Yusuf skopet, a penetrative winger who does not only create chances for others but can also score goals.
Most Improved Player - Similar in concept to the Good progress award in school, the MIV award honours the player who had make significant breakthrough in the art of improving himself.
This year's winner is Husni aka AbgHidung who has turned out to be a decently solid centreback. Dont believe us? You should have seen husni back in JC. haha. Remarkable improvement, but dont stop there abghidung.. there is still much room to improve.
Best Captain award - aku. clear cut. haha just kidding.
Thats all for the four main titles being contended. Next up is the
WakBon Awards, might be less prestigious but equally important recognition to players' efforts. WakBon awards is named after our eccentric ex-pjc soccer coach who moulded many of skopets' first-teamers. Great coach. Trainings were fun. How do we repay him? By getting trashed 3-0 twice in the inter-jc tournament. LOL.
WakBon Awards
Best Goalkeeper = Rudy.. best goalkeeper... and also our only goalkeeper. hahaha. reliable, loud and organises the defence effectively. Vast goalkeeping experience having played in one of the division leagues.
Fiercest player= Syahid. no-nonsense tackler of the ball. Trademark hard and clean sliding tackles to keep opponents at bay.
Laziest player = Herman. malas ar nak type. haha unorthodox but efficient in finishing off teams like Nasrin's.
Most versatile = Boyboyan. Strong defender last year.. and becoming a clinical striker this year. 4 goals in 2 games. More versatile than philip neville, darker than samuel eto, our Boyboyan never fails to entertain with his antics. Go rizman nalo.
