Slipped.

Skopet 2 - 5 Buffalos

In the end we failed to make it count when it really mattered. Skopet was beaten comprehensibly by newly crowned league champions, Team buffalo. The margin of defeat might be a shock but we were definitely off-colour that day. Curse the long break or whatever you want, but there can be no excuses as the better team won on Saturday(however arrogant they can be).

So a win against Dirty Dozen nxt week will draw us level on points with 2nd-placed Total Football. However their better goal difference condemns us to a third spot finish, even if Boyboyan insist its still mathematically possible to overtake TF.. how? by winning by abt 7 goals in the last game? lol. (kau ingat winning 11 kape?)

Ok we may have lost the league. tough luck. but chins up guys. I think we've put in a decent performance in our maiden league foray so far since the opening day loss to total football. I can see that this league side is really starting to gel. Im sure you've all enjoyed the experience and of course learnt much.

Lets cap our season with a final win against Dirty dozen. And get ready for the next season which by the way has already started. More hard work awaits us every saturday 3/5pm. And tougher opponents await!
*We might be in division 3. Im hoping we get to playoff for 3rd promotion slot.

BoyBoyan said...: Haha. Last checked that we are lacking in 10 goals in the goal difference department so in order to get 2nd we need to win and score 11 goals in our next game which is of course impossible. Let's just end the league on a high and savour the 3rd place.; 12:24 PM

This is the defining moment of our season. We need 4 points from the 2 games. The buffalos need no introduction having scored 30 goals in total. We'll have to be in top gear. Relish the challenge guys. The title is up for grabs. Skopet Invicta.

Mar said...: Um, just an advice in preparation for the match:

1. At least 8 hours of sleep, the night before.
2. Plenty of carbs the day before.
3. Light meal in the afternoon, before the game.
4. Plenty of water the day before and on itself.
5. Avoid caffeine, nicotines.
6. Last but not least, win the psychological battle. Its just another battle of 11 men VS 11 men. Everyone starts equal, have no fear. We can win this.

Dun put too much pressure on ourselves. we have already surpassed our expectations from taking part in this tournament.First it was for experiance and to also to see how we compete with other teams around Singapore. Buffalo's a strong team, they'll ran us ragged and give us some scares. BUT that don't mean we can't do that to them.

Defend as a team and we will survive. Attack as a team and we will thrive.

Skopet FC vs Unknown

Apologies to the fans for not putting up the match report for the previous friendly. Haha. Indeed it was a below-par perfomance from Skopet FC's sister team Wanbaiwek FC where they suffered a 3-2 defeat. It's their 2nd successive defeat in friendlies

However on a serious note , the decisive league match for the championship against Team Buffalo has been been put on hold to another day. Thus no league game this Saturday but Captain Fad managed to organise a friendly in place of the postponed match. Let's treat this as a warm up match or even take it as another league match to gain momentum for next week's fixture.

Some analysis from the league table - Assuming our closest rival , Total football achieve maximum points from their last game against Cheshire United , Skopet FC will need 6 points from their last 2 games regardless of the other results to obtain the coveted top spot for their debut league venture. But then again Cheshire has still everything to play for and it is still mathematically possible for them to win the league title.The outcome of the Cheshire and Total Football match would definitely add spice to the closing stages of the league.

Let's do this and get the win this Saturday during the friendly.
